Mieke Appel is a three time SESAC Performance award winning songwriter based in Nashville, Tennessee. Mieke was born in Waddinxveen, The Netherlands and raised in Portland, Oregon. She is a graduate of Concordia University in Chicago, Illinois and has been writing and or per-forming for 30 years. She was the acoustic guitar player for Terri (Somebody's Knockin') Gibbs in the early eighties during Terri's rise to the top of the country music charts. She has performed with artists around the world including, George Jones, John Anderson, Tammy Wynette, Alabama, Mel Tillis, The Judds, George Strait, Marty Stuart, Holly Dunn, Gail Davies, Charlie Daniels, The Raspberries, Johnny Paycheck, Emmylou Harris, Randy Travis, Garth Brooks, Kathy Mattea, Steve Wariner, Kix Brooks of Brooks and Dunn, Loretta Lynn, Bob Hope and many more.
She has performed on "Good Morning America," "The Glen Campbell Show," "The Mike Douglas Show," "Nashville Now," Church Street Station" and many more. She has performed in Israel, Japan, Germany, Italy, New Zealand, India, Thailand, Korea, Taiwan, Sri Lanka, Egypt, Canada and more that 40 of The United States.
